AN ACT CONCERNING DISABILITY COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS
FOR MEDICAL AND DENTAL LICENSURE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require courses in "disability 1
competency" as a requirement for medical and dental licensure, and to 2
require continuing medical education in "disability competency" for 3
physicians and dentists in the state. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To ensure that physicians and dentists are cognizant of the need to make
special accommodations for their patients with physical disabilities.
