AN ACT CONCERNING TEMPORARY STATE PERMITS AND STATE
PERMITS TO CARRY A PISTOL OR REVOLVER FOR RETIRED
PEACE OFFICERS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That chapter 529 of the general statutes be amended to automatically 1
grant, without a fee, a temporary state permit and a state permit to carry 2
a pistol or revolver to any peace officer who retires in good standing 3
after completing at least ten years of continuous service with a law 4
enforcement agency in this state. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To make it easier and less expensive for retired peace officers to obtain
a permit to carry a pistol or revolver.
