Explanation
The Amendment redirects administrative responsibility from the
Department of Economic Development (DECD) to the Department of
Veterans' Affairs (DVA). Additionally, the Amendment makes
advertising and publishing of the Veterans and Military Tourism trail
contingent upon the solicitation of private donations by the DVA
Commissioner. There is no fiscal impact to the DVA because they
currently have the staff and expertise to administer the program.
