AN ACT CONCERNING PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION FOR
BILINGUAL EDUCATION TEACHERS FROM ANOTHER COUNTRY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 10-145h of the general statutes be amended to permit an 1
individual from another country applying for professional certification 2
as a bilingual education teacher to be exempt from the examination 3
requirements of section 10-145f of the general statutes if such individual 4
holds a degree from an accredited college or university. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To address the shortage of bilingual education teachers in the state.
