AN ACT AUTHORIZING BONDS OF THE STATE FOR OPERATIONAL
GROWTH AND EXPENSES OF THE NAUGATUCK VALLEY
WATERBURY BRANCH LINE OF THE METRO -NORTH COMMUTER
RAILROAD.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the State Bond Commission be empowered to authorize the 1
issuance of bonds of the state in accordance with section 3-20 of the 2
general statutes, in principal amounts not exceeding in the aggregate six 3
million dollars, the proceeds of which shall be used by the Department 4 Proposed Bill No. 5839

of Transportation for the purpose of ensuring the operational growth of 5
and paying expenses associated with the Naugatuck Valley Waterbury 6
Branch Line of the Metro-North Commuter Railroad. 7
Statement of Purpose:
To provide funding for the operational growth of and expenses
associated with the Naugatuck Valley Waterbury Branch Line of the
Metro-North Commuter Railroad.
