AN ACT CONCERNING THE REGIONAL ADOPTION OF ATLANTIC
STANDARD TIME.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 1-6 of the general statutes be amended to require that 1
once the states of Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New York adopt 2
Atlantic standard time, the Governor of this state apply to the United 3
States Secretary of Transportation to change the standard of time for 4
this state to Atlantic standard time and, if approved, adopt said time. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To require the state to adopt Atlantic standard time upon the enactment
of legislation in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New York adopting
said time and federal approval of such change.
