AN ACT CONCERNING THE FILING OF A PETITION TO PERMIT
GRANDPARENT VISITATION WITH A GRANDCHILD.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 46b-59 of the general statutes be amended to provide that 1
a grandparent need only present clear and convincing evidence to the 2
court in support of his or her claim that the court order visitation with a 3
grandchild. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To allow a grandparent the right of visitation with his or her grandchild
upon demonstrating to the court that clear and convincing evidence
support the granting of such visitation.
