AN ACT REPEALING THE PAID FAMILY MEDICAL LEAVE ACT AND DISSOLVING THE PAID FAMILY AND MEDICAL LEAVE INSURANCE AUTHORITY. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That the general statutes be amended to (1) repeal the Paid Family 1 Medical Leave Act, (2) stop collecting the payroll tax, (3) refund all 2 monies collected, and (4) dissolve the Paid Family and Medical Leave 3 Insurance Authority. 4 Statement of Purpose: To repeal the Paid Family Medical Leave Act to allow private employers to develop and offer their own private insurance programs at their discretion.
