WITKOS, 8th Dist. AN ACT REQUIRING TRANSPORTATION TO A TREATMENT FACILITY WHICH PROVIDES MEDICAL TRIAGE OR TO A HOSPITAL AFTER ADMINISTRATION OF AN OPIOID ANTAGONIST. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That the general statutes be amended to require emergency medical 1 services providers to transport an individual, after the administration of 2 an opioid antagonist to such individual, to a treatment facility that 3 provides medical triage in accordance with regulations adopted 4 pursuant to section 19a-495 of the general statutes or to a hospital. 5 Statement of Purpose: To require that any individual who was administered an opioid antagonist by an emergency medical services provider be transported to a treatment facility that provides medical triage or to a hospital.
