Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That the general statutes be amended to require laboratories to 1 release the cycle threshold value when reporting polymerase chain 2 reaction test results for COVID-19 and to prohibit laboratories from 3 using a cycle threshold value of thirty-seven or higher as an indicator 4 that a person is positive for COVID-19. 5 Statement of Purpose: To require laboratories to release the cycle threshold value when reporting polymerase chain reaction test results for COVID-19 and to prohibit laboratories from using a cycle threshold value of thirty-seven or higher as an indicator that a person is positive for COVID-19.
