AN ACT CONCERNING THE ANONYMOUS COLLECTION OF
LOTTERY WINNINGS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 12-810 of the general statutes be amended to allow a 1
person who redeems a lottery ticket to claim a prize above a certain 2
dollar amount to exempt his or her name and picture from disclosure 3
under the Freedom of Information Act. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To protect the identity of lottery winners due to public safety and
security concerns.
