AN ACT CONCERNING FUNDS RECEIVED FROM THE SAFE ROUTES
TO SCHOOL PROGRAM.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the Commissioner of Transportation be required to direct 1
funding received from the federal government under the Safe Routes to 2
School Program to municipalities for the purposes of constructing new 3
sidewalks and making other improvements for pedestrians and persons 4
who ride bicycles. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To increase safety for pedestrians and cyclists and create walking
friendly municipalities.
