AN ACT REDUCING EXCESSIVE NOISE FROM MOTOR VEHICLES. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That sections 14-80 and 14-80a of the general statutes be amended to 1 require the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles, after notice and an 2 opportunity for a hearing, to suspend the registration of any motor 3 vehicle that is the subject of two or more written warnings or violations 4 of subsection (b) of section 14-80 of the general statutes or subsection (a) 5 of section 14-80a of the general statutes within a period of six months. 6 Statement of Purpose: To reduce excessive noise from motor vehicles that are the subject of two or more written warnings or violations within a period of six months by suspending the registrations of such motorcycles.
