AN ACT CONCERNING SCHOOL BUSES WITH EXTENDED
CROSSING CONTROL ARMS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That subsection (c) of section 14-275 of the general statutes be 1
amended to require each school bus that is model year 2022 or newer to 2
be equipped with an extended crossing control arm. 3
Statement of Purpose:
To deter motor vehicle operators from passing a stopped school bus and
reduce the risk of injury to children.
