AN ACT CONCERNING REIMBURSEMENT TO MUNICIPALITIES
WHEN MOTOR VEHICLE INFRACTIONS ARE NOLLED.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 51-56a of the general statutes be amended to require each 1
clerk of the Supreme Court and Superior Court to reimburse ten per cent 2
of a fine associated with any motor vehicle infraction that has been 3
nolled to the municipality in which the violation occurred for the 4
purpose of providing additional funds for municipal police 5
departments.6
Statement of Purpose:
To provide municipalities with a portion of the fine associated with a
nolled motor vehicle infraction and to assist municipal police
departments with funding and the costs associated with implementing
the provisions of public act 20-1 of the July special session.
