AN ACT ESTABLISHING A STUDENT LOAN FORGIVENESS 
PROGRAM FOR RECENT GRADUATES OF INSTITUTIONS OF 
HIGHER EDUCATION. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That the general statutes be amended to establish a student loan 1 
forgiveness program, within available appropriations, to provide 2 
student debt relief to recent graduates of institutions of higher education 3 
who start a business in the state. 4 
Statement of Purpose:   
To encourage recent graduates to open businesses in Connecticut by 
establishing a student loan forgiveness program.
