AN ACT PERMITTING SCHOOL DISTRICTS TO OPT OUT OF THE COMMON CORE STATE STANDARDS. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That title 10 of the general statutes be amended to permit a local or 1 regional board of education to opt out of implementing the Common 2 Core State Standards and use alternative standards for the purpose of 3 developing and implementing the curriculum for the school district. 4 Statement of Purpose: To allow school districts to opt out of the Common Core State Standards and to choose an alternative standard for its curriculum.
