AN ACT CONCERNING THE DATE ON WHICH A CHILD MUST TURN FIVE YEARS OLD IN ORDER TO ENROLL IN KINDERGARTEN. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That section 10-15c of the general statutes be amended to require a 1 child to be five years of age by September first of the year such child 2 enters school. 3 Statement of Purpose: To provide a more consistent and appropriate cut-off date for kindergarten enrollment so that children are more prepared and ready to start school.
