AN ACT AUTHORIZING BONDS OF THE STATE FOR CAPITAL
IMPROVEMENTS TO THE COMMUNITY CENTER BUILDING OF THE
DANBURY WAR MEMORIAL ASSOCIATION, INC.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the State Bond Commission be empowered to authorize the 1
issuance of bonds of the state in accordance with section 3-20 of the 2
general statutes, in principal amounts not exceeding in the aggregate 3
two million dollars, the proceeds of which shall be used by the Office of 4
Policy and Management for the purpose of providing a grant-in-aid to 5
the Danbury War Memorial Association, Inc. to conduct capital 6
improvements to ensure that the association's community center 7
building complies with the State Building Code, including 8
improvements to its heating, ventilation and air conditioning system, 9
boilers and sprinkler system. 10 Proposed Bill No. 6174

Statement of Purpose:
To provide funding to the Danbury War Memorial Association, Inc. for
projects to bring the association's community center building, which is
used as an emergency shelter and a voting place, into compliance with
the State Building Code.
