AN ACT CONCERNING THE COMPETITIVE BIDDING AND
OVERSIGHT OF QUASI -PUBLIC AGENCY CONTRACTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to subject quasi-public agencies 1
to competitive bidding requirements for the award of contracts and to 2
provide the State Contracting Standards Board with additional 3
oversight and enforcement powers over quasi-public agencies. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To create transparency in the awarding of quasi-public agency contracts
by requiring them to be subject to competitive bidding and subject to
more oversight by the State Contracting Standards Board.
