AN ACT REQUIRING AN ANNUAL STATE AUDIT CONCERNING THE
EFFECTIVENESS AND EFFICIENCY OF STATE PROGRAMS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That chapter 51 of the general statutes be amended to require the 1
Office of Policy and Management to (1) annually conduct a 2
comprehensive state audit of state agencies and programs, (2) compile 3
such audit into a single document analyzing the effectiveness and 4
efficiency of state programs, and (3) submit such compilation to the 5
General Assembly. 6
Statement of Purpose:
To require an annual state audit to evaluate the effectiveness and
efficiency of state programs.
