AN ACT PROVIDING MEDICAID COVERAGE FOR CERTIFIED
DIETITIAN-NUTRITIONISTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 17b-28e of the general statutes be amended to require the 1
Commissioner of Social Services to amend the Medicaid state plan to 2
provide Medicaid reimbursement for the services of dietitian-3
nutritionists certified pursuant to section 20-206n of the general statutes. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To help reduce the death rate from nutrition-related chronic diseases
exacerbated by food insecurity during the COVID-19 pandemic.
