AN ACT REQUIRING HEALTH INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR
COCHLEAR IMPLANT SURGERY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 38a of the general statutes be amended to require individual 1
and group health insurance policies to provide coverage for cochlear 2
implant surgery for certain individuals diagnosed with hearing loss. 3
Statement of Purpose:
To require individual and group health insurance policies to provide
coverage for cochlear implant surgery for certain individuals diagnosed
with hearing loss.
