AN ACT PROHIBITING EMPLOYERS FROM TAKING ADVERSE ACTION AGAINST AN EMPLOYEE FOR DECLINING A VACCINE. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That the general statutes be amended to prohibit employers from 1 taking adverse action against an employee for declining a vaccine. An 2 employer, including a licensed health facility, shall not take adverse 3 action against an employee or an applicant for employment based on 4 the employee's or applicant's immunization status. An aggrieved person 5 may file a civil action for injunctive, affirmative and equitable relief. 6 Additionally, the Department of Public Health shall not require a health 7 facility to ensure that the health facility's employees receive 8 vaccinations. 9 Statement of Purpose: To prohibit employers from taking adverse action against an employee for declining a vaccine.
