AN ACT RECOGNIZING SKILLS GAINED DURING MILITARY
SERVICE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require the state to work with 1
the Department of Veterans Affairs, Department of Consumer 2
Protection and appropriate licensure groups to accurately recognize 3
directly transferable skills gained during time served in the military. 4
Such recognized skills would be applicable toward licensure within 5
state-approved apprentice and training programs. 6
Statement of Purpose:
To accurately reflect the skills and training gained during military
service for specialized professional trade labor.
