AN ACT CONCERNING A FINE FOR NOT VOTING AT AN ELECTION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 9 of the general statutes be amended to provide that any 1
person who does not cast a ballot at an election shall be fined fifteen 2
dollars, which amount shall be payable to the Secretary of the State for 3
deposit in the General Fund. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To impose a fifteen-dollar fine for not voting at an election.
