AN ACT REQUIRING THE REGISTRATION OF MOTOR SCOOTERS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 14-286 of the general statutes be amended to require any 1
operator of a motor-driven cycle to register such motor-driven cycle 2
with the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles and to submit evidence 3
satisfactory to the commissioner that such motor-driven cycle is covered 4
by a policy of insurance. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To assist the police in tracking scooters by requiring an operator of a
scooter to register such scooter with the Commissioner of Motor
Vehicles.
