AN ACT CONCERNING FUNDING INCREASES FOR NONPROFIT
SERVICE PROVIDERS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to (1) provide for funding 1
increases to nonprofit providers of health and human services over the 2
next five fiscal years in order to leverage federal matching funds and 3
compensate such providers for years of underfunding; and (2) require 4
that future contracts between the state and such providers reflect the 5
actual cost of goods and services provided. 6
Statement of Purpose:
To make the state's nonprofits whole through a combination of state and
federal dollars after years of underfunding.
