AN ACT EXTENDING THE TIME OF EXPIRATION OF PERMITS OBTAINED PRIOR TO OR DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That sections 8-3, 8-26c, 8-26g and 22a-42a of the general statutes be 1 amended to require that any site plan, special permit or subdivision 2 approval obtained prior to or during the public health emergency 3 declared due to the COVID-19 pandemic, that has not expired, shall 4 expire not less than nine years after the date of such approval, and that 5 one or more extensions of time to complete all or part of the work in 6 connection with such site plan, special permit or subdivision approval, 7 may be granted, provided no approval, including all extensions, shall 8 be valid for more than fourteen years from the date the site plan, special 9 permit or subdivision approval was approved. 10 Statement of Purpose: To extend the time of expiration of certain land use permits.
