OFA Fiscal Note
No Fiscal Impact
The amendment establishes a nineteen-member chronic kidney
disease advisory committee. The committee shall examine methods to
reduce the occurrence of chronic kidney disease by controlling the most
common risk factors, diabetes and hypertension, through early
detection and preventive efforts at the community level and disease
management efforts in the primary care setting.
The committee shall develop an equitable, sustainable, cost-effective
plan to raise awareness about the importance of early detection,
screening, diagnosis and treatment of chronic kidney disease and
prevention.
Not later than January 1, 2022, and annually thereafter, the advisory
committee shall submit a report on its findings and recommendations
to the Public Health committee.
This bill has no fiscal impact as PA 17-236 prohibits transportation
allowances for advisory committee members.
