Explanation
The bill establishes a ten-member task force to study ways to protect
senior citizens from fraud, such as an examination of whether persons
offering planning advice to Medicaid applicants should be required to
be elder law attorneys.
The task force shall submit its findings and recommendations to the
aging and human services committees by January 1, 2022.
This bill has no fiscal impact as PA 17-236 prohibits transportation
allowances for task force members.
