OFA Fiscal Note
No Fiscal Impact
The amendment strikes the language and its associated fiscal note. It
requires the Departments of Children and Families (DCF) and Public
Health (DPH) to develop a plan to promote access to mental health
services for children and youth in certain regions of the state. This has
no fiscal impact as DCF and DPH have the staff expertise to complete
such a study.
The amendment states that mental health service providers who staff
any school-based mental health clinic may receive additional training.
They may participate in the social-emotional learning and restorative
practices training provided to teachers and administrators of the schools
governed by their local or regional board of education. This has no fiscal
impact.
The preceding Fiscal Impact statement is prepared for the benefit of the members of the General Assembly, solely
for the purposes of information, summarization and explanation and does not represent the intent of the General
Assembly or either chamber thereof for any purpose. In general, fiscal impacts are based upon a variety of
informational sources, including the analyst’s professional knowledge. Whenever applicable, agency data is
consulted as part of the analysis, however final products do not necessarily reflect an assessment from any
specific department.
