LCO No. 3950 1 of 2 General Assembly Raised Bill No. 6533 January Session, 2021 LCO No. 3950 Referred to Committee on HOUSING Introduced by: (HSG) AN ACT REQUIRING A STUDY OF METHODS TO P ROVIDE HOUSING ASSISTANCE DURING TH E COVID-19 PANDEMIC. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: Section 1. (Effective from passage) The Commissioner of Housing shall 1 conduct a study of methods to assist state residents with housing 2 difficulties resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic. Not later than 3 January 1, 2022, the commissioner shall submit a report containing 4 findings and recommendations on such study, in accordance with the 5 provisions of section 11-4a of the general statutes, to the joint standing 6 committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters 7 relating to housing. 8 This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections: Section 1 from passage New section Raised Bill No. 6533 LCO No. 3950 2 of 2 Statement of Purpose: To require the Department of Housing to conduct a study of methods to assist state residents with housing difficulties due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
