Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: Section 1. (Effective from passage) The Commissioner of Social Services 1 shall, to the extent permissible under federal law, provide Medicaid 2 reimbursement for authorized services provided to a Medicaid recipient 3 by a person authorized to practice without a license as a marital and 4 family therapy associate, as defined in subdivision (4) of section 20-195a 5 of the general statutes, pursuant to Executive Order No. 7V of Governor 6 Ned Lamont. The commissioner shall seek any federal approval 7 necessary to implement the provisions of this section. 8 This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections: Section 1 from passage New section Raised Bill No. 6561 LCO No. 4222 2 of 2 Statement of Purpose: To require Medicaid reimbursement, to the extent permissible under federal law, for marital and family therapy associates authorized to practice without a license by executive order during the COVID-19 public health emergency.
