Explanation
The bill requires the Department of Energy and Environmental
Protection (DEEP) to lease a parcel of land to the Connecticut
Audubon Society for a twenty-five year term at a cost of $1, with
extension of said lease allowable by DEEP. Should the lease be agreed
to, DEEP would temporarily lose use of the asset and there would be a
$1 increase in revenues to the General Fund.
The lease is subject to the review and approval of the State
Properties Review Board.
