AN ACT CONCERNING LIVING ORGAN DONOR INSURANCE
DISCRIMINATION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 38a of the general statutes be amended to: (1) Prohibit 1
certain insurers from discriminating against an individual solely 2
because the individual is a living organ donor; and (2) provide that such 3
discrimination constitutes a violation of the Connecticut Unfair 4
Insurance Practices Act. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To: (1) Prohibit certain insurers from discriminating against an
individual solely because the individual is a living organ donor; and (2)
provide that such discrimination constitutes a violation of the
Connecticut Unfair Insurance Practices Act.
