AN ACT PROHIBITING THE USE OF CHLORPYRIFOS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to ban the sale, distribution, use 1
or application of chlorpyrifos as of January 1, 2022, and establish a fine, 2
enforced by the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, 3
of one thousand dollars or thirty days in jail, or both, for any violation. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To ban the use of chlorpyrifos.
