AN ACT INCREASING PENALTIES FOR THE INJURING OR KILLING
OF POLICE ANIMALS OR SEARCH AND RESCUE DOGS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That subsections (d) and (e) of section 53-247 of the general statutes 1
be amended to increase the penalties for the intentional injury or killing 2
of police animals or dogs in volunteer canine search and rescue teams. 3
Statement of Purpose:
To increase the penalties for the intentional injury or killing of police
animals or dogs in volunteer canine search and rescue teams.
