AN ACT PROVIDING CERTAIN BENEFITS TO HMONG LAOTIAN 
SPECIAL GUERILLA UNITS WHO SERVED IN THE KINGDOM OF 
LAOS. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That the general statutes be amended to provide the following 1 
benefits to members of the Hmong Laotian special guerilla units who 2 
served in the secret war in the Kingdom of Laos during the Vietnam 3 
War: (1) Special certificate of registration and a set of numbered plates 4 
for motor vehicles; (2) listed as a veteran on motor vehicle operators' 5 
licenses; (3) funeral expenses paid by the state for members with 6 
insufficient funds; (4) burial in a veterans' cemetery; and (5) a medal and 7 
ribbon issued by the Commissioner of Veterans Affairs. 8 
Statement of Purpose:   
To provide certain benefits to members of the Hmong Laotian special 
guerilla units who served in the secret war in the Kingdom of Laos 
during the Vietnam War.
