AN ACT CONCERNING EMERGENCY BACKUP POWER FOR CELL
TOWERS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That chapter 283 of the general statutes be amended to require 1
telecommunications companies to equip cell towers with at least 2
seventy-two hours of emergency backup power for use during a power 3
outage. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To equip cell towers with seventy-two hours of emergency backup
power for use during a power outage.
