AN ACT REQUIRING TRAVEL SERVICE BUSINESSES TO OFFER REFUNDS FOR TRAVEL CANCELLED DUE TO ILLNESS. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That the general statutes be amended to require that any entity selling 1 travel services in the state offer to state residents full refunds for travel 2 cancelled due to illness, including, but not limited to COVID-19. Such 3 refunds may be in the form of equal credit with the company offering 4 the travel service. 5 Statement of Purpose: To protect consumers from losing money on travel-related cancellations due to illness.
