AN ACT REQUIRING HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS TO OFFER 
PATIENTS A TEST FOR HUMAN IMMUNODEFICIENCY VIRUS AT 
LEAST ONCE ANNUALLY. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That the general statutes be amended to require health care providers 1 
to offer their patients a test for human immunodeficiency virus as least 2 
once annually. 3 
Statement of Purpose:   
To increase testing, protect members of the public and decrease the 
stigma surrounding a test for human immunodeficiency virus.
