AN ACT CONCERNING THE RIGHT OF RESIDENTS TO USE 
TECHNOLOGY OF THEIR CHOICE IN LONG-TERM CARE FACILITIES. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That sections 19a-550 and 19a-697 of the general statutes be amended 1 
to establish the right of residents of long-term care facilities to access 2 
and use the technology of their choice for purposes including, but not 3 
limited to, remotely visiting with loved ones and other persons, 4 
provided the use of such technology does not violate the privacy rights 5 
of any person under state or federal law. 6 
Statement of Purpose:   
To implement the recommendations of the Nursing Home and Assisted 
Living Oversight Working Group.
