AN ACT CONCERNING NOTICES PROVIDED BY LIFE INSURERS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 38a of the general statutes be amended to require each life 1
insurer that issues a life insurance policy in this state to: (1) Provide an 2
annual notice to the owners and beneficiaries of, insureds under and 3
insurance producer that negotiated and sold such policy regarding the 4
status of such policy; and (2) send any notice cancelling such policy to 5
all owners of such policy. 6
Statement of Purpose:
To require each life insurer that issues a life insurance policy in this state
to: (1) Provide an annual notice to the owners and beneficiaries of,
insureds under and insurance producer that negotiated and sold such
policy regarding the status of such policy; and (2) send any notice
cancelling such policy to all owners of such policy.
