AN ACT ELIMINATING THE LIMITATION PERIOD FOR BRINGING A CIVIL ACTION FOR CLAIMS ARISING FROM CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That section 52-577d of the general statutes be amended to provide 1 that an action to recover damages for personal injury to a person under 2 twenty-one years of age, including emotional distress, caused by sexual 3 abuse, sexual exploitation or sexual assault may be brought by such 4 person at any time. 5 Statement of Purpose: To eliminate the limitation period for bringing a civil action arising from child sexual abuse.
