AN ACT CONCERNING DOULA CERTIFICATION AND MEDICAID
REIMBURSEMENT FOR DOULA SERVICES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 19a of the general statutes be amended to establish state 1
certification of doulas and title 17b of the general statutes be amended 2
to establish Medicaid reimbursement for doula services and study the 3
effects of doula services on health outcomes for pregnant Medicaid 4
beneficiaries and their infants. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To provide state certification of doulas, Medicaid reimbursement for
their services and study the effects of doula services on health outcomes
for pregnant Medicaid beneficiaries and their infants.
