AN ACT CONCERNING RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE VISITATION
AND SOCIALIZATION SUBCOMMITTEE OF THE NURSING HOME
AND ASSISTED LIVING OVERSIGHT WORKING GROUP.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to ensure that all long-term care 1
facility staff are educated regarding (1) the best practices to address the 2
social, emotional and mental health needs of residents, and (2) all 3
components of person-centered care. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To adopt the recommendations of the Visitation and Socialization
Subcommittee of the Nursing Home and Assisted Living Oversight
Working Group regarding educating long-term care facility staff.
