AN ACT CONCERNING TH E EXPANSION OF PASSE NGER RAIL
SERVICE ON THE WATER BURY BRANCH OF THE METRO -NORTH
COMMUTER RAILROAD.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
Section 1. (Effective from passage) The Commissioner of Transportation 1
shall increase the number of trains and frequency of service on the 2
Waterbury branch of the New Haven Line, as defined in section 13b-79o 3
of the general statutes, and expand such branch to include the towns of 4
Seymour, Shelton and Derby. 5
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following
sections:

Statement of Purpose:
To expand passenger rail service on the Waterbury branch of the
MetroNorth Commuter Railroad.
