AN ACT ENHANCING THE VISIBILITY OF ICE CREAM TRUCKS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That chapter 246 of the general statutes be amended to require ice 1
cream trucks be equipped with safety equipment, such as flashing signal 2
lamps, crossing control arms, caution signs, front convex mirrors and 3
rear visibility equipment. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To require the installation of certain safety equipment on ice cream
trucks to increase the visibility of such trucks, warn drivers that children
may be present near and minimize the vehicle blind spots for the driver
of such truck.
