AN ACT CONCERNING TRANSIT -ORIENTED DEVELOPMENT ON
STATE LAND AND AFFORDABLE HOUSING.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the Department of Transportation, in consultation with the 1
Department of Housing, be required to issue requests for proposals or 2
information for five transit stations in the state where the associated 3
parking lot is owned by the state, to construct transit-oriented 4
developments on the parking lot, provided the same number of parking 5
spaces will be maintained and at least thirty per cent of the development 6
will be affordable housing. 7
Statement of Purpose:
To increase the number of transit-oriented developments with an
affordable housing component.
